It is light outside, it looks as if it is sunny and hot. There is one main person you can see in this photo. The others are on the sidewalk and are hard to see. It looks as if it is a male of about 21 years of age. He is thin and wearing old baggy clothes that are dark colors. The thing that catches my eyes in the photo are the cars parked on the side of the road and the buildings going down the street. The structures in this photo are mini businesses going along down the street. They are in mid condition, not to nice but then again not old and beaten down. There is no spacing between the buildings and the structures that surround the buildings are the road and cars. The tone of this photograph is positive. It looks like a normal summer afternoon with people out shopping. Two questions i would ask the photographer are, What are your purposes for taking this photo and what message are you trying to tell people?

This photo was taken by John Collier in 1913. It was published in Aug. 1941. The setting of this photo is outdoors during the day and it looks like an urban type area, but the homes are spreadout. It looks as if it is about 11 or 12 o'clock during the day. The are no people in this photo, but what does catch my eye is the homes. They are modern looking. It reminds me of a normal looking neighborhood except there are no cars. The condition of this photo is nice. The houses and neighbor looks clean and good. It looks peaceful. Surrounding the homes is grass. Patches of grass and sidewalk. I believe this photo is pretty positive because it looks like a nice set of houses in a nice neighborhood and it looks peaceful. Two questions i might ask the photographer are, what was your reason of taking this photo and how do you feel about the settings and surroundings. What are your feelings about the photo.

The photographer of this picture was Lange Dorothea. This picture was published in July 1936. This photo was taken outdoors at about noon time in a rural farm type area. In this photograph it looks as if an African American woman is farming the crops. She looks about 30 and shes wearing all white dirty clothes and a white hat. There are no buisinesses and it looks as if it is hot outside and the sun is blazin down on the farm. Surrounding the woman are all crops and farmland. The tone of this photo is heavy and negative because of the run down dirty woman working. Two questions i might ask the photographer are, whats your reason of taking this photo and what is your view on whats going on in the picture?

Picture of Ellis Island were mass Quarantine of all immigrants coming into New York City from out side the city until they were proven uninfected. In front of the building used to contain the immigrants, are boats used to carry the immigrants to New York.
Tone of the photo is seemingly positive even though many people in there Quarantine would die with in a single week.

this is a photo of a small shop this is another good example of how poor an enthier nation had become in only a cople of months. in the photo you see that a pound of suger only costed 54 cent compared to todays cost of 3 dollars almost six times that cost. Part B

The photographer of this picture was Esther Bubley. It was taken in September 1943 in Rome, Georgia. This picture was taken outside during the day. It looks as if it is about to rain. It also looks as if it was taken in a rural area because of the building below the sign. There are no people in this photo but what catches my eye is the sign that reads "COLORED WAITING ROOM." It looks like a white sign with some dark colored lettering. There is a business in this photo but you can't really tell what it is. It looks as if it is in good condition too. What surrounds the structure is electrical wires and it looks as if a resturaunt next-door.(hence the sign colored "waiting room") I'd say the tone of this photo is negative because of the discrimination on the sign colored waiting room. You see today that it's not like that all people have the same waiting room. Two questions I would ask the photographer are, How do you feel about what the sign says and what could you do to improve and help everything that is going on?

This photo was taken outdoors in a rural type area and it looks as if it is about 4 or 5 in the afternoon. There are no people in this photo but what catches my eye is the sign and the little hut and the words on them. There is a home in this photo. It is old and is in very bad condition. surrounding this home is forest, the street, and a sign. I believe this photo is negative because of how bad the condition of the home looks. It is also light in the picture. IT looks like mid summer. Two questions i would ask the photographer are, what is your reason for taking this photo and do you believe this photo is positive or negative?

The lighting is good and looks as if it is about noon time, seeing how the cafe/ luch place has people in it. There is one person in this photo a little hard to see but you can still tell its a human being. Looks like a female about 38 years old and is in all white clothes. She is probably a worker at the cafe in her work uniform. What catches my eye in this photo is the cars and the front of the cafe. There is a business in the photo. It is a cafe in good condition and it looks as if there are other businesses right next to it. There is no spacing between the businesses. What surrounds the structure is cars, the street, and it looks like other stores are next-door. The tone of this photo is positive. People just out about the town grabbing a bite to eat on a nice sunny day. Two questions i would ask the photographer are, do you agree with me in saying this is a positive phot and if not, what makes it positive?
